ZOOM CONTACT CENTER

Zoom already runs your meetings. That is not a reason to route support through it.

Smart Instinct configures Zoom Contact Center: flow editor and IVR, queues and routing, the omnichannel setup, Zoom Virtual Agent, and the integration into whichever helpdesk actually holds your tickets.

The reason most Zoom Contact Center projects get bought is that the company already pays Zoom. That is a real and legitimate advantage. It is not the same thing as a fit, and we will tell you on the call which one you have.

Checked against Zoom documentation August 8, 2026. Published prices, fixed quote off the scoping call.

Zoom Contact Center is not a helpdesk

This is the single most useful thing to understand before you scope anything. Zoom Contact Center is a contact centre: it routes voice, video, chat, SMS and social to the right agent, and it gives that agent a place to work. It does not manage tickets over time.

Zoom says this themselves. Their own documentation separates help desks, which are ticketing systems, from contact centres, which are routing platforms, and describes Zoom Contact Center as integrating with help desk software rather than being one.

So if the plan is to replace Zendesk with Zoom, there is no plan. If the plan is to put Zoom in front of Zendesk and stop paying a separate voice vendor, that is a real project and usually a good one. We say the same thing on our RingCentral and Talkdesk pages, for the same reason.

What it officially integrates with

Native, Zoom-built integrations exist for Salesforce including Service Cloud Voice and Omni-Channel, Zendesk, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Google Dialogflow CX. HubSpot, Freshdesk and Intercom are not on Zoom's own integrations list. If someone has told you otherwise, they are describing a third-party connector, which is a different sentence with different support implications.

What we configure

Flows, IVR and routing

The flow editor, the menu structure customers actually hear, queues and automatic call distribution, skills and priority, overflow and after-hours behaviour. Built against test numbers and proven before anything cuts over.

Omnichannel

Voice, video, chat, SMS and the channels your plan tier actually includes. Email, social and outbound dialling sit on higher tiers, which is worth knowing before you design around them.

Zoom Virtual Agent

Self-service across voice and chat, grounded in content you have approved, with escalation designed around what your team can absorb. Zoom now offers outcome-based pricing tied to resolved or routed interactions as an alternative to per-seat.

The helpdesk integration

Where most of the value is. Calls logged against tickets, screen pop with real context, and reporting that reconciles between the two systems rather than telling you two different stories.

AI Expert Assist and quality

Agent-facing real-time assist, quality management and workforce management, which sit on the Elite tier. Zoom rebuilt the Expert Assist reasoning engine in July 2026, so behaviour differs from older deployments.

Reporting

Queue and agent metrics that a supervisor trusts, plus CX Insights where it earns its place. Reporting is the thing most often left at defaults and most often complained about a year later.

What it costs

Our implementation prices do not vary by platform. Essential $3,750, Professional $7,500, Premium $12,500, gated on counted scope rather than agent numbers. Audit $500, credited against any project booked within 30 days. Retainers from $800 a month. Hourly is $100.

On Zoom's own pricing, a warning

Zoom Contact Center comes in Essentials, Premium and Elite tiers. As of August 2026 Zoom publishes no seat prices at all. Every tier says contact sales.

You will find $69, $99 and $149 per seat quoted confidently across review sites and comparison blogs. Those numbers come from a Zoom press release dated December 2023 and are being presented as current. Budget off a quote from Zoom, not off a blog, and be wary of any implementer who tells you the seat cost without picking up the phone.

Zoom Virtual Agent can also be bought on outcome-based pricing tied to resolved or routed interactions. Zoom publishes no rate for that either. If you go that route, get the definition of a resolved interaction in writing, because that definition is the entire budget.

Best for, and not a fit

Best for

Companies already standardised on Zoom for meetings and phone, where consolidating the voice layer removes a vendor and a bill.

Teams whose helpdesk is Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow or Dynamics, because those are the integrations Zoom actually builds and maintains.

Support operations where video matters, which is genuinely rare and genuinely Zoom's strength when it applies.

Anyone who wants number porting they can reverse. Zoom documents porting away as well as porting in, which is more than most vendors do.

Not a fit

You want to replace your helpdesk. Zoom Contact Center does not manage tickets and is not trying to.

Your helpdesk is HubSpot, Freshdesk or Intercom. No official Zoom integration exists, so budget for custom work or pick a different contact centre.

You are buying it purely because you already pay Zoom. That is a discount, not a fit, and the two get confused expensively.

You need a mature contact centre feature set on the cheapest tier. Email, outbound dialling, quality management and workforce management sit higher up than people assume.

Questions we get about Zoom Contact Center

Can Zoom Contact Center replace Zendesk?

No. Zoom Contact Center routes conversations, it does not manage tickets over time. Zoom's own documentation frames it as integrating with help desk software rather than replacing it. Run it in front of your helpdesk, not instead of it.

What does Zoom Contact Center actually cost per seat?

Zoom does not publish it. All three tiers say contact sales. The $69, $99 and $149 figures circulating online come from a December 2023 press release and are no longer on Zoom's pricing page.

Are you a Zoom partner?

No. Zoom runs a partner programme with a public directory and we are not in it. We configure the platform for clients who hold their own licences. We tell you this rather than let you assume otherwise.

Does it work with our helpdesk?

If your helpdesk is Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow or Microsoft Dynamics 365, yes, natively. If it is HubSpot, Freshdesk or Intercom, there is no official Zoom integration and anything that exists is third-party.

How long does number porting take?

That belongs to the carriers, not to your project plan, and it varies widely by country. We submit the port in week one and build everything else against temporary numbers in parallel so porting is never the blocker.

Can we get our numbers out later?

Yes, and this is a genuine point in Zoom's favour. Zoom documents porting away from Zoom Contact Center as an explicit supported process. Configuration is a different story: flows, queues and routing rules do not transfer between contact centre platforms and get rebuilt by hand.

Bring the org chart and the current phone bill.

Thirty minutes is enough to tell you whether Zoom Contact Center is the right move or just the convenient one. You get a fixed-price quote off that call, not a discovery phase.
